Admin and Finance Section
The mission of the A&F Section is to provide effective, efficient and client-focussed administrative and finance services for the successful running of the offices and support to Programme implementation in India.
Advocacy, Communication and Partnerships
Advocacy & Communication aims to enhance social and policy change to the benefit of children. UNICEF does this through dialogue and engagement, as well as strategic partnerships and networks with key influencers and decision makers.
Child Development and Nutrition
: The CDN programme seeks to the achievement of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) 1, 4 and 5 and aims to deliver measurable results in five priority areas that are essential for improved child survival, growth and development
Child Protection
The CP Programme addresses child labour, child marriage, child trafficking, justice for children, alternative care, violence, sexual exploitation, corporal punishment, child protection in emergencies, missing children and gender-biased sex.
Communication for Development
Communication for Development (C4D) program of UNICEF envisions a world in which people come together as equals and dialogue so that all children, families and communities have access to the information, skills, technologies, and processes they need to generate solutions are empowered to make informed choices, reach their full potential and participate meaningfully in decisions affecting their lives and realize their rights.
Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience Building
DRR Section, and its network of Officers and focal points in States promote child responsive disaster risk reduction. The Section advocates for and facilitates risk-informed development programming as an approach to improve the sustainability of results of UNICEF supported Government of India sector programmes. It coordinates India Country Office’s engagement to prepare for and respond to disasters.
Education Programme seeks to contribute to the achievement of MDGs 2 and 3, as well as to MDG 7 on sanitation and the Millennium Declaration on Child Protection. The Programme has supported the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), India's flagship programme to improve the enrolment, retention, achievement, and completion rates in elementary education, and the implementation of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act through inclusive and child-friendly schools and systems, in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and key actors at national level and across 15 statesAccount Department

WASH section sponsor a wide range of activities and work with many partners, including families, communities, governments and like-minded organizations. In emergencies we provide urgent relief to communities and nations threatened by disrupted water supplies and disease. Without WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene), sustainable development is impossible.
